Introduction of department

- The Department of Pediatric Cardiology has played a central role in treating patients with congenital heart disease in Daegu and Gyeongbuk Province. In addition to congenital heart disease, the department is focusing its efforts on treating pediatric acquired heart disease, arrhythmia, and pulmonary hypertension. We are also doing our best to diagnose fetal heart abnormalities through fetal heart clinics, and we are trying to provide the best medical services through adult congenital heart disease clinics even when the patients become adults.

- For accurate diagnosis and treatment, we use the latest echocardiogram, 12-guided electrocardiogram, 24-hour halter monitoring, blood pressure monitoring system and cardiopulmonary excercise test device, heart CT and MRI. As for the treatment of heart disease, we perform Cardiac catheterization, non-surgical cardiac anomaly treatment (atrial septal defect occlusion, patent ductus arteriosus occlusion, balloon dilatation, etc.), and Radio frequency catheter ablation for various arrhythmia diseases.
