Relatives : In accordance with Article 21, Paragraph 2, Item 1 of the Medical Act, the patient's spouse, lineal ascendant/ descendant, and spouse's lineal ascendant (hereinafter in this Article) are considered as relatives.
(Brothers, sisters, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, etc. are not “Relatives” because they are collateral blood relatives, and they can request Issuance as a patient representative.)

What are the medical records?
Documents that records related to patient's disease (including family history, surgical treatment history, etc.) and all matters performed by the hospital for treatment
- Medical records are confidential documents that contain patient information, so the applicant's identity must be verified and the original documents must be kept (Article 21 of the Medical Law, Article 13 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Medical Law).
